NEW MEMBERS

Our youngest member is Nehemiah Ahmad Wilson, born March 1, 2007, to Kathleen Wilson, member, and Dwayne Williams

* Welcome to our newest members of 2007, Nehemiah Wilson, Nicola Wood, Thorton Hudson.   On Sunday, March 25th, Nicola declared her membership at Lincoln Temple.  On Sunday, January 7th, Vincent Bates and Cara Elmore; and on Sunday, January 21st, Harold Solomon declared their membership at Lincoln Temple.  Also, on Sunday, February 25th, Rev. Doug Griffin, his wife Susan Frey and Earl Robinson blessed Lincoln Temple by declaring their membership.  The Spirit of the Lord is truly manifested.   

Members who have joined during the year of 2006 are are Juanita Gilchrist, Deborah Hines, Vivian Hollifield, John Moody, George Sanders, William White, Adriane Williams, Anne Williams, Charles Keener, LeRoy and Merlene London, Michael Hargreaves, Louisa Davis and Rev. NaDine Rawls.

Twenty three (23) new members have joined since January 2006.

Praise and Worship Service 

Join us every Sunday at 10:30 a.m., with Musician Karen Rowe, and worship learders Will White and Darren Buckner,  when we lift up God's name in our Praise and Worship Service. 

OTHER NEWS

*ORGAN REPAIR: The organ has been repaired ahead of schedule.  An anonymous donor blessed us by paying for it. 

Installation

*We are blessed.  On December 3, 2005, Rev. Nathan A. Harris was installed as pastor of Lincoln Temple.  Rev. Jeremiah Wright delivered the message.  In attendance were numerous United Church of Christ ministers, a guest Choir, Liturgical Dance, friends and family.  We are moving forth under Rev. Harris' leadership.  We thank God for him. Since his installation service, 23 new members have joined Lincoln Temple.  God is good; all the time God is good.

New Roof

 *A new roof for the church!  An anonymous donor provided funds to the church.  It is with those funds we were able to replace the roof.  We Thank God for this wonderful individual!  God is good all the time.

NEW BIBLES & HYMNALS

Thanks to the financial contributions from several members and friends of Lincoln Temple, our church will have all new, New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) Bibles in our pews.  The blessings keep coming!  We need additional NRSV Hymnals, and the contributions are coming in to purchase them.  We are also blessed  to receive additional copies of the African American Heritage Hymnal that we use in our Praise Service!  A big THANK YOU to God and everyone who made this possible.

He Has Done Marvelous Things

Thank God for the donation of the funds that replaced the steps and pillars in front of the church!   Humbly, Lord , we are so grateful for all things.
